Historical European Martial Arts

Class information

What We Study

Explore the martial tradition of Kunst des Fechtens (KDF), the “Art of Fencing,” developed by Johannes Liechtenauer in the 1400s.

Through modern training techniques, we bring the practices recorded in historical manuscripts to life, blending history, skill, and discipline.

Class schedule

  • Every Monday night
    6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Our classes include a mix of drills, technique practice, controlled sparring, and study of historical texts, covering both foundational techniques and advanced applications.

  • German longsword - A versatile two-handed blade.

  • Sword & buckler - A pairing of a one-handed sword and small shield.

  • Messer - A unique single-edged blade.

  • Dagger - A fast-paced, compact weapon.
